Frequently Asked Questions

What if I can't find the product I'm after?

Not every Salamanca Market stallholder has products for sale in our online store. The store is a collection of products from those stallholders who choose to be included and are able to sell their products online. We will continue to update the store.

How do I contact a stallholder who is not in the online store?

We recommend that you go to the ‘Find a stall’ section on our Salamanca Market website and search through the categories, or use the search function on the page. If the stallholder has contact details available, they will be displayed there.

Does the online store show a stallholder’s entire product range?

Many stallholders who have products in our online store have additional products that they would usually sell at Salamanca Market.  If you can’t find what you are looking for, click the link to connect you to the stallholder.

What can I do if I don’t receive the goods that I ordered?

Please contact the stallholder directly. Stallholders selling through our online store have guaranteed that they will deliver orders, but given the COVID-19 pandemic, it may be that unforeseen circumstances have caused a delay. We recommend that you understand the expected arrival date of your item before you finalise your purchase.

Do you deliver internationally?

Delivery arrangements are entirely up to each stallholder and we recommend you understand the delivery arrangements offered by a stallholder before you finalise your purchase.  Many postal operators are now experiencing delays due to flight disruptions and many no longer offer signature on delivery.

Why does postage vary?

Postage costs will vary between each stallholder, depending on the parcel carrier used by the stallholder and the object that is being purchased. We recommend you understand the postage costs relating to your item before you finalise the purchase.

My product is faulty or is not as described, what do I do?

We recommend you understand the return policy of the stallholder from whom you are buying, before you finalise the purchase. If you are unhappy with the product that you have received, please contact the stallholder directly to make arrangements in line with that stallholder’s return policy. Please be aware that stallholders may refuse product returns for safety reasons due to the risk of COVID-19 and we ask for your understanding during this time.

Are your products safe from coronavirus?

To participate in our online store, our stallholders have agreed to maintain safe handling procedures and ensure that their products are clean and in good condition.

Australia Post remains operational and has taken action to protect the health and safety of its customers.  You can learn more on the Australia Post website.

I'm still having problems with my order.

The Salamanca Market administration team is responsible for the e-commerce portal, not transactions between stallholders and customers and keeps no information about your order. If you encounter any problems with your order, please contact the stallholder directly to ask for information. The stallholder is the best person to assist you.

We ask that you have extra patience at this time, since many businesses in our market community are facing disruptions to their usual routines that may cause some unpredictability when it comes to fulfilling orders.
